Networking organization Broadway & Beyond: Access for Stage Managers of Color has announced a hybrid event to take place on Sept. 18. The day-long gathering will provide education and industry connections for BIPOC stage managers. The September event is the fifth overall since the organization was founded in 2020.

Industry professionals from Broadway, Off-Broadway, regional theaters and more will gather in person at Ripley-Grier Studios in midtown Manhattan as well as virtually to meet with early- and mid-career stage managers of color. Interested stage managers and other theater industry professionals should fill out an application on the Broadway & Beyond website, where additional registration details can be found.

In addition to the four previous networking events, Broadway & Beyond has also hosted educational seminars on topics ranging from résumé and interview prep to anti-racist and anti-oppressive stage management practices. Earlier this year, the organization received special recognition from the Stage Managers Association.

Broadway & Beyond is under the leadership of founders Lisa Dawn Cave, Beverly Jenkins, Jimmie Lee Smith and Kenneth J. McGee.
