“The Notebook” has revealed two upcoming principal cast replacements. Benji Santiago and Anna Zavelson will join the musical in the roles of Younger Noah and Younger Allie, respectively, on Oct. 8. They will take over for John Cardoza and Jordan Tyson, who, as previously announced, will depart the production on Oct. 6. The new pair will join the show in its final two months on the Main Stem; the Michael Greif- and Schele Williams-helmed musical previously announced a closing date of Dec. 15.

“The Notebook” will mark the Main Stem debut for both Santiago and Zavelson. Santiago played Usnavi in the Muny’s 2024 production of “In the Heights.” Zavelson, a finalist at the 2022 Jimmy Awards, portrayed Clara Johnson in the 2023 City Center Encores! mounting of “The Light in the Piazza.”

In addition to Cardoza and Tyson, the current principal company of “The Notebook” includes Maryann Plunkett as Older Allie, Dorian Harewood as Older Noah, Joy Woods as Middle Allie and Ryan Vasquez as Middle Noah. Casting is by the Telsey Office/Patrick Goodwin.

Featuring a score by Ingrid Michaelson and a Tony Award-nominated book by Bekah Brunstetter based on Nicholas Sparks’ 1996 novel, “The Notebook” chronicles the love story between Noah and Allie as seen through three generations of their lives. The production opened on March 14 and received three 2024 Tony Award nominations. A touring production will hit the road in 2025. An original cast album was released in April.

“The Notebook” is produced by Kevin McCollum and Kurt Deutsch.
