‘Appropriate’ and ‘Beautiful Noise’ finish strong while most Broadway shows tumble at the box office

For the week ending June 30, the 30 currently running productions grossed $34,783,390.

After three consecutive weeks of growth, Broadway’s box office took a dip as June came to a close. During the week ending June 30, Broadway’s gross totaled $34,783,390, representing a 7.4% decrease from the week prior (in which two additional productions were playing). 

Attendance was down as well; the 30 currently running productions welcomed 264,578 admissions, a 6.4% dip from the week ending June 23. Capacity remained flat during week six of the 2024-2025 season, with 92.9% of available seats filled, a slight 0.02 percentage points higher than the previous week.

Compared to the same week last season, this week’s $34.8 million gross take is 3.8% higher, while the 265,000 admissions is 3% lower. Capacity is up 4.1% from the comparable week in the 2023-2024 season.
