Andrea Martin and Nathan Lane will star on Broadway this spring in a new play written by Pulitzer Prize finalist Taylor Mac.

The play, called “Gary: A Sequel to Titus Andronicus,” will be directed by George C. Wolfe and produced by Scott Rudin. The show, which will play the Booth Theatre, marks the Broadway debut for Mac, known for “A 24-Decade History of Popular Music.”

Previews begin on March 5, 2019, with an opening night set for April 11, 2019.

The play is set after the conclusion of the William Shakespeare tragedy “Titus Andronicus,” when two servants, played by Martin and Lane, are charged with cleaning up the bodies after years of war.

Santo Loquasto is the scenic designer, Ann Roth is the costume designer and Jules Fisher and Peggy Eisenhauer are the lighting designers.

Additional casting will be announced at a later date.
