Concord Theatricals has acquired the exclusive global rights to Jordan E. Cooper’s comedy “Ain’t No Mo’.” The English-language licensing rights are available on Concord’s Samuel French imprint.

The Broadway staging of “Ain’t No Mo’,” directed by Stevie Walker-Webb, began previews on Nov. 9, 2022, and officially opened on Dec. 1 at the Belasco Theatre. The show closed on Dec. 23, after 23 previews and 28 performances.

“Ain’t No Mo’” premiered at the Public Theater in March 2019. It moved on to Washington, D.C.’s Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company in September 2022, followed by a run at Baltimore Center Stage in October before landing on Broadway.

“I’m so incredibly honored to have ‘Ain’t No Mo’’ find its home with Concord Theatricals,” said Cooper in a statement. “The only accessible way to experience Broadway plays in Texas when I was younger was ordering Samuel French. It allowed those plays to meet me where I was, which is why it’s an amazing feeling to join some of my favorite plays and get to meet someone where they are. ‘Ain’t No Mo’’ is a wild yet hilarious ride with the heart of an ancestral hug, and I’m honored that Concord will help me spread that hug around.”
