Alex Robertson, Amy Marie Haven and Jamie Joeyen-Waldorf are the newest producers chosen to be part of the Shubert Organization’s Artistic Circle Program, a program that supports BIPOC commercial producers working on Broadway and Off-Broadway shows. They are the second cohort after last year’s pilot program.

Robertson has served as a co-producer on the 2022 revival of “The Piano Lesson” and “A Beautiful Noise, The Neil Diamond Musical.” He is also a member of the 2022 Theatre Producers of Color cohort.

After being awarded the Black Theatre Coalition’s producing fellowship (sponsored by Hugh Jackman and his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness), Haven joined the producing team behind the 2022 revival of “The Music Man.” She also serves as the creative development manager of Michael Cassel Group, which has produced the Broadway mountings of “Almost Famous,” “Into the Woods,” “Pretty Woman: The Musical” and “MJ.”

Through her company, JW Theatrical, Joeyen-Waldorf is producing the 2023 revival of “A Doll’s House.” She has also produced past Main Stem productions “The Kite Runner” and “Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune.”

The Artistic Circle supports BIPOC commercial producers in their early-to-mid careers. The program provides resources for the members’ current projects in development by way of financial assistance, space for readings and workshops, and mentorship.
