The Shubert Organization and John Gore Organization have been announced as participants in New York City’s second Career Discover Week, an initiative that brings high school students into workplaces for a day to expose them to a variety of career paths. The program, which is taking place March 6-10, is facilitated by the NYC Department of Education and the Partnership for New York City.

Sophomore students from 70 participating schools are selected to attend the Career Discovery Week programs. Schools have been matched with organizations that suit the interests of their students.

Teens from the High School for Youth and Community Development at Erasmus will be exposed to the various jobs within the Shubert Organization during a full day of programming on March 7. As part of the day, students will tour the Majestic and Booth Theatres and meet with Broadway industry professionals.

Separately, students from East Brooklyn Community High School will visit the John Gore Organization on March 9. They will learn about presenting and marketing live theater from experts in the fields.

The Shubert Organization is under the leadership of chairman and CEO Robert E. Wankel. The John Gore Organization is owned and operated by chairman and CEO John Gore. Broadway News is a subsidiary of the John Gore Organization.
