A new production of “Peter Pan” will premiere at Minnesota’s Ordway Center for the Performing Arts in December before continuing as a national tour.

After playing the Ordway in December of 2023 as part of the Broadway at the Ordway series, the tour will then launch in February 2024 at the Hippodrome in Baltimore, Maryland. A full tour schedule will be released in the coming months.

Lonny Price will direct the all-new production, which will feature additional book by Larissa FastHorse, who will make her Broadway debut this spring with her “Thanksgiving Play.” The musical’s score is by Morris (Moose) Charlap, lyrics by Carolyn Leigh, additional lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green and additional music by Jule Styne.

Based on James M. Barrie’s book, “Peter Pan” takes the Darling children on a magical adventure to Neverland and back home as they encounter obstacles along the way.

A full cast and creative team will be announced in the coming months.

“I am thrilled to be part of bringing ‘Peter Pan’ to life for a new generation,” Larissa FastHorse said in a statement. “If you loved this musical before, you will still see the show that enchanted you, while discovering a ‘Peter Pan’ that everyone can enjoy, without harm, for many years to come.”

“Peter Pan” is produced by NETworks Presentations.
