Crystal Lucas-Perry and more complete the cast of ‘Ain’t No Mo’’ on Broadway

Complete casting has been announced for the upcoming Broadway production of “Ain’t No Mo’.

Joining the previously announced playwright Jordan E. Cooper will be many company members who appeared in the play’s 2019 off-Broadway premiere, including Fedna Jacquet, Marchánt Davis, Ebony Marshall-Oliver and Crystal Lucas-Perry, the latter of whom is currently starring as John Adams in “1776” and will exit that production on Oct. 23. Also in the Broadway company of “Ain’t No’ Mo’” will be Shannon Matesky.

They will be joined by understudies Nik Alexander, Jasminn Johnson, Michael Rishawn, Kedren Spencer, Brennie Tellu and Emma Van Lare.

Stevie Walker-Webb will be making his Broadway debut as director. The creative team also includes Scott Pask (scenic designer), Emilio Sosa (costume designer), Adam Honoré (lighting designer), Jonathan Deans & Taylor Williams (co-sound designers) and Mia M. Neal (wig designer).

Previews are set to begin at the Belasco Theatre on Nov. 3, ahead of a Dec. 1 opening night.

“Ain’t No Mo’” is produced on Broadway by Lee Daniels. Wagner Johnson Productions serve as executive producers and general managers.
