Ryoko Yonekura will return to the Broadway company of “Chicago” for 16 performances.
Yonekura will assume the role of Roxie Hart from November 7-20, 2022.
She will lead the Broadway production as it celebrates its 26th anniversary on Nov. 14.
The role of Roxie Hart is currently played by Bianca Marroquín, with Lana Gordon as Velma Kelly.
This marks Yonekura’s fourth stint with the Broadway company after first appearing as Roxie Hart in the Japanese production in 2008.
The actor is well-known for playing the role of Surgeon Michiko Daimon in the Japanese television series “Doctor X.”
“Chicago” is produced on Broadway by Barry and Fran Weissler.
