The company of “Paradise Square” will record an original Broadway cast album during the weeks of April 18 and April 25, producers said Monday.
The musical’s cast and orchestra will record the album over four days of sessions at Power Station at BerkleeNYC. The album will be released digitally in May, with a physical release to follow in the summer.
“Paradise Square” composer Jason Howland and electronic music designer Billy Jay Stein will produce the album. Lead producer Garth Drabinsky will serve as executive producer for the recording, alongside co-executive producers Craig Haffner, Sherry Wright and Jeffrey A. Sine.
“Paradise Square” opened at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre on April 3, 2022. The musical has been dark since April 7 due to multiple positive COVID-19 cases in the company. The production plans to resume performances April 19.
