Sarah Jessica Parker tested positive for COVID-19 Thursday, leading “Plaza Suite” to cancel its Thursday evening performance.

Her positive test comes after her husband and “Plaza Suite” scene partner, Matthew Broderick, tested positive for COVID-19 Tuesday. In his absence, Parker had been performing opposite standby Michael McGrath.

The status of future performances will be announced at a later date.

“Plaza Suite” is the latest Broadway show to cancel due to COVID-19 cases in the company. “Macbeth” is canceled through April 10 after star Daniel Craig and other members of the company tested positive. “A Strange Loop” delayed its first preview to April 11 from April 6 after company members tested positive for the virus.
