Katie Webber will take over the role of Rhonda, Tina Turner’s manager and friend, in the Broadway company of “Tina” starting April 12.
She assumes the role from original cast member Jessica Rush, who will depart the production April 10.
Webber is currently in the musical’s ensemble and an understudy for Rhonda. She previously appeared on Broadway in “Wicked” and “Catch Me If You Can,” among other productions.
“Tina” reopened at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on Oct. 8, 2021. The biographical musical is produced by Stage Entertainment, James L. Nederlander and Tali Pelman, in association with Turner.
