BroadwayCon, the annual Broadway fan conference, has been postponed five months due to the rise in COVID-19 cases in New York City, organizers said Thursday.

The conference, which was originally scheduled for February, will now be held from July 8 to July 10, 2022 at the Manhattan Center and New Yorker Hotel. Last year’s conference was held virtually due to the virus.

Many Broadway productions have canceled or shifted performance dates in recent weeks because of the surge in cases related to the Omicron variant.

Conference organizers are in the process of confirming whether previously announced guests will be available for the new dates. Tickets purchased for the upcoming event will be honored in July.
