“Caroline, or Change” will release a Broadway cast recording this December.

Broadway Records completed recording the album Monday, in coordination with Roundabout Records, a new imprint made in partnership with Roundabout Theatre Company. The digital album will be available Dec. 17, with a physical double-CD set for a limited release later in December. The album will be available at major retailers on Jan. 14.

“Caroline, or Change” opened at Studio 54 on Oct. 27 after transferring from the West End with star Sharon D Clarke. It is playing a limited engagement through Jan. 9. This is the first Broadway revival of the show, which originally opened in 2004.

“Producing ‘Caroline, or Change’ and bringing its star, Sharon D Clarke, to Broadway have been extraordinarily satisfying, especially in light of the struggles of the past two years,” said Roundabout Artistic Director and chief executive Todd Haimes. “Being able to preserve it for all time–as our 25th cast album and the premiere recording for the Roundabout Records imprint with Broadway Records–means the world to everyone who worked so hard to get it here. I’m looking forward to many more collaborations with Van and his team.”

In addition to Clarke, the show stars Gabriel Amoroso, Alexander Bello, John Cariani, Joy Hermalyn, Arica Jackson, Tamika Lawrence, Caissie Levy, Adam Makké, Kevin S. McAllister, Harper Miles, N’Kenge, Nya, Jayden Theophile, Nasia Thoma, Jaden Myles Waldman, Samantha Williams, Stuart Zagnit and Chip Zien.

The album is produced by Elliot Scheiner, Nigel Lilley, Jeanine Tesori, and Van Dean and edited and mixed by Lawrence Manchester. Executive producers are Sydney Beers, Elizabeth Armstrong, Jim Kierstead/Broadway Factor, and Richard Allen/Taran Gray.  Associate producers are Gina Maria Leonetti, Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino, Walport Productions, Franklin Theatrical Group/John Wall and Mia Moravis.
