“Lackawanna Blues” has canceled additional Broadway performances due to the recurrence of star Ruben Santiago-Hudson’s back injury.
Performances of the one-man show are now canceled from Oct. 8 through Oct. 10, a spokesperson for the show confirmed Friday. The production had previously cancelled the Oct. 7 performance, which was intended to be the rescheduled opening night, as well as performances the weekend of Sept. 24.
The production had rescheduled the show’s press opening to Oct. 7 from the initial opening date of Sept. 28 due to Santiago-Hudson’s injury.
Performances are expected to resume Oct. 12. The production is scheduled to run at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre through Oct. 31.
