“Jagged Little Pill” will resume performances on Broadway Oct. 21.

The musical, which opened on Dec. 5, 2019, will return to the Broadhurst Theatre. Tickets are on sale as of Tuesday.

Before the shutdown, the principal cast included Elizabeth Stanley, Sean Allan Krill, Celia Rose Gooding, Kathryn Gallagher and Lauren Patten. Casting updates, if any, will be announced in the coming months, according to the press release.

“We will also be putting in place new structures, processes, and support systems at the theater – to help us heal, and make space for one another – in order to strengthen as a company after this long, difficult interim,” said producers Vivek J. Tiwary, Arvind Ethan David and Eva Price. “It’s important that we as a theater community don’t just go back—but go forward, working together to help create a safer, more inclusive, and more equitable Broadway.”

The musical is currently nominated for 15 Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Tony voters cast ballots for the 2019-2020 Tony Awards in March 2021, but winners have not yet been announced.

The musical joins several other productions that have announced reopening dates this fall, including fellow best musical nominee “Tina,” which announced an Oct. 8 resumption Tuesday.

The Broadhurst Theatre will install new sanitation and filtration systems ahead of the opening and follow other health and safety protocols developed by the theater owners and the state.

“Jagged Little Pill,” set to the music of Alanis Morisette, features a book by Diablo Cody, direction by Diane Paulus and choreography by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui.
