“Chicago” will resume performances on Broadway starting Sept. 14.
The production, which had been running on Broadway since 1996, put tickets on sale Friday for its run at the Ambassador Theatre. This is the latest production to announce its return, following Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s announcement Wednesday that allowed Broadway shows to reopen at full capacity on Sept. 14.
“Chicago” is joined by another long-running show, “The Phantom of the Opera,” which released tickets Friday for an October return. “Six,” which conducted a presale Thursday, will resume performances on Sept. 17. “Diana” put tickets on sale March 30 for a run starting Dec. 1.
Additional productions are expected to announce Tuesday.
