The 35th Annual Lucille Lortel Awards, which honor Off-Broadway productions, has moved its awards show online.

The awards show, which was initially planned to take place at NYU Skirball Center for Performing Arts, will now be presented virtually on May 3, with nominations announced on April 14. Off-Broadway productions that opened after Feb. 16 were given the choice to be considered for this awards show or the 2021 awards show..

Further details about the virtual ceremony will be announced at a later date.

“Our desire to recognize and celebrate the excellence of the Off-Broadway season is not diminished by the concerns we are all facing. Indeed, it is essential for our morale to do just that,” Terry Byrne, president of the Off-Broadway League, said in the press release.
