Lindsay Pearce to make Broadway debut as Elphaba

Lindsay Pearce will make her Broadway debut in the role of Elphaba in “Wicked” in late February.  Pearce will assume the role from Hannah Corneau, who plays her final performance on Feb. 23. She will be joined by Sam Gravitte, who will assume the role of Fiyero from Jake Boyd.

Lindsay Pearce will make her Broadway debut in the role of Elphaba in “Wicked” in late February.

Pearce will assume the role from Hannah Corneau, who plays her final performance on Feb. 23. She will be joined by Sam Gravitte, who will assume the role of Fiyero from Jake Boyd.

Gravitte was previously in the ensemble of “Wicked” on Broadway.

Both Pearce and Gravitte begin on Feb. 25. They join a cast which includes Ginna Claire Mason as Glinda, Alexandra Billings as Madame Morrible, Michael McCormick as The Wizard, Riley Costello as Boq, Michael X. Martin as Doctor Dillamond, and Shoba Narayan as Nessarose.

Directed by Joe Mantello, “Wicked” has been playing the Gershwin Theatre since October 2003.
