‘Aladdin’ announces new principal cast members on Broadway

Ainsley Melham, who starred in the original Australian production of “Aladdin,” will take over the title role on Broadway.  Melham, who made his Broadway debut in the role in 2019, will begin in March. Clinton Greenspan, the current Aladdin, will play his final performance on Feb. 16.

Ainsley Melham, who starred in the original Australian production of “Aladdin,” will take over the title role on Broadway.

Melham, who made his Broadway debut in the role in 2019, will begin in March. Clinton Greenspan, the current Aladdin, will play his final performance on Feb. 16. Rodney Ingram will rejoin the cast to play Aladdin until Melham begins.

Arielle Jacobs, who currently plays Jasmine, will play her final performance on March 22. Marina Pires, making her Broadway debut, will cover the role from March 24 through May 31st. Another Jasmine will be announced at a later date.

Michael James Scott joins the cast as the Genie on Feb. 28, after the departure of Major Attaway, who plays his last performance on Feb. 16. The role of Genie will be covered by Juwan Crawley and Deonté L. Warren in the interim.
