The musical adaptation of “The Notebook” will have its world premiere at Chicago Shakespeare Theater.
The musical, which is based on the novel by Nicholas Sparks and subsequent film, features a score by Ingrid Michaelson and a book by “This Is Us” writer Bekah Brunstetter. Michael Greif is directing.
“The Notebook” will play The Yard at Chicago Shakespeare from Sept. 22 through Nov. 8, 2020. The musical is produced by Kevin McCollum and Kurt Deutsch in association with Sparks.
McCollum is also the producer of “Six,” which had its North American premiere at Chicago Shakespeare in May 2019.
Casting for “The Notebook” will be announced at a later date .
