Mars Rucker was injured during Thursday night’s performance of “Tina: The Tina Turner Musical.”

Rucker, who plays Turner’s sister Aline, suffered “superficial injuries” after stepping on a trap door, according to the production. They are expected to recover shortly.

“During a scene early in the musical, an actor stepped on a trap door as it was closing. The show quickly stopped. The actor was brought to the hospital for an examination. They sustained superficial injuries and will be back in the show shortly,” the production said in a statement.

“Tina” opened at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on Nov. 7.
