Ben McKenzie, a star of the television series “The O.C.,” will complete the cast of “Grand Horizons” on Broadway.

McKenzie joins the previously announced cast of Jane Alexander, James Cromwell, Priscilla Lopez, Maulik Pancholy, Ashley Park and Michael Urie. Written by Bess Wohl and directed by Leigh Silverman, the play begins previews at the Hayes Theater on Dec. 23, 2019.

Opening night is set for Jan. 23.

This is the Broadway debut for McKenzie, who takes on the role of “Ben,” previously portrayed by Thomas Sadoski. Sadoski left the Broadway production “due to scheduling conflicts.”

McKenzie, who has also appeared in the television series “Gotham” and “Southland,” has appeared on stage at Soho Rep, in several productions at the Williamstown Theatre Festival and at the Mark Taper Forum.
