Harry Connick, Jr. will perform the songs of Cole Porter at the Nederlander Theatre on Broadway this winter.
The show, entitled “Harry Connick, Jr. — A Celebration of Cole Porter,” will play a strictly limited engagement at the Nederlander Theatre beginning December 2019. The Broadway engagement is pre-dated by a release of his Cole Porter album and by performances at the Durham Performing Arts Center.
He will go on a national tour following the Broadway run.
The show is produced by Connick Performances, James L. Nederlander and Grove Entertainment.
The production is conceived and directed by Harry Connick, Jr. with scenic design by Beowulf Boritt and Alexis Distler, projection design by Beowulf Boritt and Caite Hevner and lighting design by Ken Billington.
Connick has performed concerts on Broadway twice before, in 1990 and in 2010. He has also appeared in the Broadway productions of “The Pajama Game” and “On a Clear Day You Can See Forever.”
