Tracy Letts’ play “The Minutes” will come to Broadway in February 2020.
The play, which will be Letts’ second on Broadway this season, will be directed by Anna D. Shapiro and produced by Jeffrey Richards and Steve Traxler. It arrives on Broadway after a Steppenwolf Theatre production in 2017.
The theater, exact dates and casting are not yet announced.
“The Minutes” was originally announced to premiere on Broadway in the spring of 2018, with Scott Rudin as the producer, but did not materialize. The play, which was a finalist for the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, centers on small-town city council meeting government
Shapiro, who directed the Chicago production of “The Minutes,” previously worked with Letts on his play, “August: Osage County.”
Letts, who finishes up his run as Joe Keller in “All My Sons” at the end of this month, is also the playwright behind “Linda Vista,” which is coming to Broadway this fall.
