Illusionist Derren Brown is coming to Broadway

Illusionist and mentalist Derren Brown will bring his show to Broadway this fall. Produced by filmmaker J.J. Abrams, “Hamilton” director Thomas Kail and “Hamilton” producer Jeffrey Seller, the show will play the Cort Theatre beginning Sept. 6, 2019, with an opening night on Sept. 14.

Illusionist and mentalist Derren Brown will bring his show to Broadway this fall.

Produced by filmmaker J.J. Abrams, “Hamilton” director Thomas Kail and “Hamilton” producer Jeffrey Seller, the show will play the Cort Theatre beginning Sept. 6, 2019, with an opening night on Sept. 14. The show, entitled “Derren Brown: Secret,” comes to Broadway after an off-Broadway run at Atlantic Theater Company in 2017.

The show, written by Andy Nyman, Derren Brown, and Andrew O’Connor, will play a limited engagement through Jan. 4, 2020. Andrew O’Connor and Andy Nyman direct.

Brown’s shows have also played the West End, where they won two Olivier Awards. He also had a Netflix special entitled “Sacrifice.”

The show will feature scenic design by Takeshi Kata, lighting design by Ben Stanton, sound design by Jill BC Du Boff, projection design by Caite Hevner and general management by Baseline Theatrical.
