“Ain’t Too Proud” will launch a national tour next year beginning in Providence, Rhode Island.

The tour, which launches in Providence in July 2020, will last more than 100 touring weeks and visit more than 50 cities. Stops include Detroit and for Christmas 2021, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC, a venue the show played as part of its pre-Broadway run.

The musical, directed by Des McAnuff and with a book by Dominique Morisseau, opened at the Imperial Theatre on March 21.
