Michael Urie will host the Drama Desk Awards for the fourth consecutive year.

The Drama Desk Awards, which recognize Broadway, off-Broadway and off-off-Broadway shows and performers, will take place on June 2 at the Town Hall. Urie returns to host after recently appearing on Broadway in this season’s “Torch Song.”

“Michael’s charm, spirited stage presence, and distinctive sense of humor guarantee that this will be an evening of fun and surprises. A Drama Desk recipient himself, Michael is the ideal ambassador for our organization and the Awards, both in the theater community and beyond,” said Drama Desk co-presidents Charles Wright and David Barbour.

This year’s Drama Desk Awards are executive produced by Matt Britten, chief executive of Broadway Brands, which is the parent company of Broadway News. Joey Parnes Productions is serving as the producer.
