English songwriter and singer Morrissey will play the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre this May.

The former frontman of The Smiths will play a seven-day Broadway engagement from May 2 to May 11, covering songs from his solo career as well 1960s and 1970s covers from his upcoming album “California Sun.”

Morrissey is the latest rocker to come to Broadway, following Bruce Springsteen, who wrapped up a run at the Walter Kerr Theatre on Dec. 15, 2018. The Lunt-Fontanne is awaiting a new tenant after “Summer” closed on Dec. 30.

The producer of the engagement was not confirmed. Morrissey is represented by the International Talent Booking Agency.
