“Hamilton” made Broadway history yet again last week, bringing in the highest recorded gross for one show in a week.

The musical grossed $4.04 million across eight performances, becoming the first show to bring in more than $4 million in one week in recorded history, according to the Broadway League. It previously broke records around the holiday season last year, bringing in $3.85 million.

The average ticket price at “Hamilton” for the week ended Dec. 30 was $375.39, with attendance at 102%.

In addition to “Hamilton,” numerous shows broke records for the week between Christmas and the new year.

“Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” broke the all-time weekly record for a Broadway play, bringing in $2.52 million. It breaks its previous record, set in the week ended Nov. 25, 2018, of $2.34 million.

In terms of overall grosses, “Hamilton” was followed by “The Lion King” with $3.7 million, “Wicked” with $3.41 million, “The Illusionists,” which played 16 performances at the Marquis Theatre, also setting a box office record, with $2.98 million and “Frozen” with $2.62 million.
