Zak Orth, Peter Francis James join cast of ‘Hillary and Clinton’

“Hillary and Clinton” has completed casting, with Zak Orth as campaign manager “Mark Penn” and Peter Francis James as “Barack.” Orth and James join Laurie Metcalf, playing Hillary, and John Lithgow as Bill.

“Hillary and Clinton” has completed casting, with Zak Orth as campaign manager “Mark Penn” and Peter Francis James as “Barack.”

Orth and James join Laurie Metcalf, playing Hillary, and John Lithgow as Bill. The Lucas Hnath play, directed by Joe Mantello, begins previews at the John Golden Theatre on March 16, 2019, with an opening set for April 18.

Orth will be making his Broadway debut, with theater credits including “Suburbia” and “The Pain and the Itch,” and film and television credits including “Wet Hot American Summer” and its subsequent iterations.

James has appeared on Broadway in “Present Laughter,” “The Merchant of Venice,” “On Golden Pond” and more, with off-Broadway credits including “Stuff Happens.”

The play is set in the early days of 2008 as Hillary Clinton runs for President of the United States.
