Bertie Carvel, Jonny Lee Miller to star in ‘Ink’

Bertie Carvel will reprise his role of Rupert Murdoch in “Ink” on Broadway this spring. Jonny Lee Miller, an Olivier Award winner for “Frankenstein,” joins the West End transfer as a new cast member, taking over the role of Larry Lamb, the editor of “The Sun.

Bertie Carvel will reprise his role of Rupert Murdoch in “Ink” on Broadway this spring.

Jonny Lee Miller, an Olivier Award winner for “Frankenstein,” joins the West End transfer as a new cast member, taking over the role of Larry Lamb, the editor of “The Sun.” The play begins previews at the Manhattan Theatre Club’s Samuel J. Friedman Theatre on April 2, 2019, with an opening night set for April 24.

Carvel originated the role of Miss Trunchbull on the West End and on Broadway. He is two-time Olivier winner for his roles in “Ink” and in “Matilda.”

“Ink” is written by James Graham, playwright of “Privacy” and “Finding Neverland,” and directed by Rupert Goold, the director of “King Charles III” and “Enron.”
