Michael Barra, former president of media and entertainment at The Araca Group, has launched a new production company called Lively McCabe Entertainment.
The company, which Barra co-founded with Katie Dietz, will package and produce media intellectual properties for stage, television, films, digital media and literature. The production company has signed with the Abrams Artists Agency, which will represent the company and any properties for which the the company acquires the rights.
Barra, who has also held positions with Walt Disney Pictures and Disney Theatrical Group, previously developed stage adaptations of “Clue on Stage,” “Family Ties” and “Cheers,” as well as music publishing assets for musicals such as “One Hit Wonder” and “Emma.”
