Loren Lott will take over the lead role of Ti Moune in “Once on This Island,” while Hailey Kilgore recovers from a foot injury, the producers announced Monday.
Lott had been part of the original company of the revival as an understudy for Ti Moune, Asaka and Andrea.
The current cast includes Darlesia Cearcy, Alex Newell, Merle Dandridge, Quentin Earl Darrington, Phillip Boykin, Courtnee Carter, Rodrick Covington, Cicily Daniels, Emerson Davis, Tyler Hardwick, Cassondra James, David Jennings, Kenita R. Miller, Isaac Powell, T. Oliver Reid, Anna Uzele, Aurelia Williams, Mia Williamson and Daniel Yearwood.
The musical, which won the 2018 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical, is produced by Ken Davenport and Hunter Arnold.
