Producer Ken Davenport has sold his group sales business, Your Broadway Genius, to the John Gore Organization’s Group Sales Box Office.

Stephanie Lee, president and chief executive of Group Sales Box Office, will oversee the merged business, which, when combined with, makes up the “leading” theatrical group sales company in North America.

Davenport, who won a Tony Award Sunday for “Once on This Island” and is producing another upcoming Broadway musical, “Gettin’ the Band Back Together,” said he sold the business to concentrate more on producing.

“I’ve had a wonderful time building the business and speaking to so many of our important group audiences and learning what they like, what they need and what they don’t,” Davenport wrote in an email to Broadway News. “But now, with my time more limited, I decided to sell it to one of the best in the business, so I can focus more on my primary goal…creating and producing Broadway musicals.”
