“Hamilton” will hold auditions in Puerto Rico this June ahead of the show’s January 2019 opening in San Juan.

The casting call will be for the company in Puerto Rico, which will star Lin-Manuel Miranda in the title role, as well as for the companies on Broadway, Chicago and the show’s touring productions.

“We are thrilled to provide an audition opportunity for local performers who haven’t been able to attend the ongoing casting calls that are being held year-round across the U.S. mainland,” Miranda said in the press release.

“Hamilton” is slated to run from Jan. 8, 2019 through Jan. 27, 2019 at Teatro UPR in San Juan.

The casting will be done by Telsey and Company/Bethany Knox, CSA.
