Review: ‘Lobby Hero’ is a small play about big ideas

Life is never simple. Nor is trying to figure out what kind of lives we aspire to lead. Even if we can decide what it is we want to become, how to achieve that outcome remains an ongoing puzzle.

Life is never simple. Nor is trying to figure out what kind of lives we aspire to lead. Even if we can decide what it is we want to become, how to achieve that outcome remains an ongoing puzzle. We must first struggle to understand our inherent natures, and then decode the ongoing, often subtle repercussions of our genes, namely our race and gender. What is practically possible in the real world? What kind of people do we become along the way because of the choices that are, or are not, available? And how much do our decisions actually impact the outcome?
