“The Secret Garden” is returning to Broadway next season, producers Gerald Goehring and Michael F. Mitri announced Monday.

The show will be directed and choreographed by Warren Carlyle. This will be the first revival of the musical, which opened on Broadway in 1991.

“The Secret Garden” features books and lyrics by Marsha Norman and music by Lucy Simon.

The musical originally ran for more than 700 performances and won Best Book of a Musical, Best Featured Actress in a Musical for Daisy Eagan and Best Scenic Design of a Musical.

There were two concert revivals of the musical in New York last year, one at the Lincoln Center and one as a benefit for the Make-A-Wish foundation, in celebration of the musical’s 25th anniversary.

Specific dates, cast and theater are not yet announced.
