Beth Malone joins cast of ‘Angels in America’

Tony nominee Beth Malone will play the role of “The Angel” in select performances of “Angels in America,” the show announced Tuesday.

Malone joins the cast of “Angels in America,” which features Nathan Lane as “Roy Cohn” and Andrew Garfield as “Prior Walter.” The two-part play begins previews on Feb. 23, 2018 at The Neil Simon Theatre.

Alongside Malone, the show announced complete casting including Patrick Andrews, Glynis Bell, Amy Blackman, Curt James, Rowan Ian Seamus Magee, Mark Nelson, Matty Oaks, Genesis Oliver, Jane Pfitsch, Lee Aaron Rosen, Ron Todorowski, Silvia Vrskova and Lucy York.

Amanda Lawrence, who was in the National Theatre production in London, is currently listed as “The Angel,” on the show’s Internet Broadway Database page.

The show is directed by Marianne Elliott and produced by Tim Levy, Jordan Roth and Elliot & Harper.
