Adam Driver is returning to Broadway with the revival of “Burn This” in 2019.

The production, which has not announced a theater or exact dates yet, will be directed by Michael Mayer, with the play written by Lanford Wilson. Driver will be playing “Pale,” and more casting and design team announcements are to come.

Driver, who received three Emmy nominations for his role in “Girls,” previously appeared on Broadway in “Man and Boy” and “Mrs. Warren’s Profession,” and off-Broadway in “Look Back in Anger.”

“Burn This” premiered off-Broadway in 1987, with John Malkovitch as “Pale” and Joan Allen as “Anna,” then transferred to Broadway, where it ran for 437 performances at the Plymouth Theatre.

The play follows four New Yorkers in the 1980s as their lives are upset by the accidental death of a young dancer.

“Burn This” will join already announced productions for the 2018 to 2019 season including “Pretty Woman,” “King Kong” and “Head over Heels.”
