‘American Utopia’ cancels additional Broadway performance

The Thursday, Dec. 2 performance of “American Utopia” has been canceled due to a non-COVID-19 illness in the company, according to producers. The production had also canceled Wednesday evening’s performance due to the illness. Performances are now scheduled to resume Friday, Dec. 3.

The Thursday, Dec. 2 performance of “American Utopia” has been canceled due to a non-COVID-19 illness in the company, according to producers.

The production had also canceled Wednesday evening’s performance due to the illness. Performances are now scheduled to resume Friday, Dec. 3.

Ticket holders for the canceled performances are being refunded through their original point of purchase.

“American Utopia,” starring David Byrne, opened at the St. James Theatre on Oct. 17 and is currently scheduled to run through March 6, 2022.

The production originally ran on Broadway at the Hudson Theatre from October 2019 to February 2020.
