Producers Sue Wagner, John Johnson, Seaview, Sonia Friedman Productions, Linden Productions, Ashley Melone & Nick Mills, along with Sony Masterworks Broadway, have announced the release of an original cast album for “Stereophonic,” the new play by David Adjmi. Scheduled for digital release on May 10, with a physical CD hitting shelves on June 14, the album will feature original songs by Will Butler, formerly of Arcade Fire.
Directed by Daniel Aukin, “Stereophonic” premiered Off-Broadway at Playwrights Horizons in Oct. 2023. The production is currently running at Broadway’s Golden Theatre, with an official opening night slated for April 19, for a limited engagement of 14 weeks.
The cast of “Stereophonic” includes Will Brill, Andrew R. Butler, Juliana Canfield, Eli Gelb, Tom Pecinka, Sarah Pidgeon and Chris Stack.
Set in a recording studio, “Stereophonic” follows a fictional 1970s band as they record their sophomore album. The album is now available for preorder.
